1)Educational excellence instead of continuing with our failed system. Find our what works for others that are ranked 1st -2nds- 3rd etc. and change from our rating of 48th or 49th. Let’s not continue with the “blame game”. We know the problem—the system has failed our students of all ages. If the Nevada Education System were a for profit business and the results were a dead last rating or so—the board would be fired along with the CEO—a share holds committee was asses the losing system and make the changes to make the enterprise successful—what could be more important that the future of our children—I will have changes made at the legislature.

 

2)Economic growth and diversification- we have two major sections of the economy hospitality and mining-If we added a third leg—Geothermal we could be a net exporter of electricity though the grid. In a short time we could have renewable energy to sell and keep our electrical cost the cheapest in the nation. There are 22 geothermal plants operational in Nevada and we are currently the second largest supplier of this energy,

 

3)Pass laws like Texas and Oklahoma that give the states the right to enforce laws within there state to arrest and depart illegal aliens in the event that the Federal government does not do so. Bill the Federal Government for the cost incurred by maintaining these people; health, education, housing and law enforcement actions as needed. This cost should be paid on humanitarian grounds but should be shifted to the the Federal Government.
